My Xbox 360 Repair – My Story

Ok, so my Xbox 360 went straight down hill in late September.

I saw that it had Three red lights. They call it the “Red Rings of Death.”

Then (To make matters worse) Assassin’s Creed 2 for Xbox 360 came out a couple months later.

How can you play Assassin’s Creed 1 or 2 without an Xbox 360? So – I watched the online trailers, Checked out screenshots, and even Stole some time on my friend’s Xbox 360 to play it. =)

It Sure wasn’t the same. I NEEDED to fix my Xbox 360 FAST!!

Think I wanted to send it to Microsoft? Those repairs can cost $140 and take 6 weeks. (I didnt even have a REAL job)

I even considered making the Xbox 360 Repair myself with the dangerous “towel” method – a great way to catch your Xbox 360 on fire… Seriously!

Although while the Xbox 360 System  is a great gaming console there have been many people that have sent in complaints about the different hardware problems. The three red light Xbox 360 error –also known as the Red Rings of Death or RROD– is what many people get on their Xboxes whenever there is some sort of error on their system; what this usually ends of meaning is that there is a hardware error which could actually be any number of different factors or combinations of errors. Having to repair the Red Rings Of Death on your Xbox 360 can be toture. You are jus getting  into a game and then it freezes…WTF! You don’t know what’s going on or whats wrong. So I’m going to share some quick tips on how to perform an Xbox 360 Repair on the RROD.

Well, there are a couple of ways to repair the Red Rings. If you have an active warranty on your Xbox 360, It would be wise to let Microsoft perform the repair.

 It will take them at least 4 weeks to repair the Red Rings Of Death  on your Xbox 360… I have no idea why it takes so long. If  you want to be on the safe side, you should probably send it to them. If you want to play it safe, you should send it back to Microsoft  to repair the error.

Xbox 360 Repair- Why you May Need To Learn it!

If you own a Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3, Wii or gaming console in general then you’ve more than likely already heard the commotion about  finding an Xbox 360 Repair.
It seems that just about everybody with an Xbox 360 have at least once faced some sort of problems with the Xbox 360 console. One of the most prevalent (just learned that word) problems with the Xbox 360 is the 3 red lights error A.K.A. RROD (Red Rings of Death) and this is caused by the Xbox 360 overheating thus causing the motherboard to take in too much heat so it begins to band and warp which causes the error.

Do Not Do This Unless You are Broke and VERY Desperate… This is only a temporary fix that may cause the problem to become even worse.

Pennies have copper in them, which conducts heat very well . Since its conductive of heat, it will grab hold of the heat that your Xbox 360 is putting out and push it there instead of the Xbox 360 chips.

If the fans stop working and it shows 2 red lights, you should check the penny

There are a lot of rumors going around saying that if your Xbox 360 gets the 3 red lights or the red ring of death, and you decide to send it in rather that fix it your self, you will get one back with the hdmi cable.

THIS IS NOT TRUE

If your Xbox 360 cannot be fixed, they will give you a refurbished one. So I always ask everybody why pay Microsoft $150 to repair your Xbox 360, when you can pay $29 and learn Xbox 360 repair yourself…
